Privacy policy

Lakshya Jindal ("we", "us") makes the Unclaimed app and this website. This policy explains what information we handle, why, who helps us, and the choices you have. Questions? Write to support@getunclaimed.app.

The short version. We keep your email and the cards and credit usage you enter. We never ask for bank or card logins, card numbers or statements. We don't sell your data, and there is no advertising or cross-app tracking. You can export or delete everything from inside the app.

What we collect

Information	Why we need it
Email address	To create your account and send you a one-time sign-in code.
Cards you add: the card (issuer and name) you pick from our list, an optional nickname, and the date you opened it	To work out which credits you have and when each one resets.
What you record: credits you mark used (and the amount), benefits you've enrolled in, and when you recorded them	To show what's left, build your charts and the keep-or-cancel report.
Waitlist signup (on this website): your email, whether you use iPhone or Android, which country your cards are from, and the link that brought you here	To email you when the beta opens and at launch. Nothing else.
Server logs: IP address and basic request details	Our hosting provider records these in standard logs for security and reliability.
Subscription status (once paid plans launch)	To unlock paid features. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never see your payment details.

What we do not collect

Bank, credit card or account numbers, or logins and passwords for any financial account
Card statements or transaction history (the app does not connect to your bank)
Your contacts, photos, precise location or health data
Data for advertising, and no third-party advertising or analytics trackers in the app

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email and the answers you chose, and we use them only to tell you about the beta and the launch (about two emails in total). We don't share the list. To be removed, email support@getunclaimed.app and we'll delete your entry. Waitlist entries are kept until launch or until you ask us to remove them. They are held with Supabase, like your account data.

Reminders and notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone itself. Your reminder preferences (how many days before, what time, which types) are stored on your device only. We do not currently send push notifications from our servers. If you turn reminders off or deny the permission, nothing is sent.

How we use information

To run the app and your account, send sign-in codes, show your credits and reminders, keep the service secure and fix problems, and answer your support requests. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.

Who helps us (service providers)

Supabase hosts our database and sign-in. Your data is stored in: United States (East).
An email delivery provider sends your sign-in code.
Apple and Google handle in-app subscriptions, and RevenueCat tells us whether a subscription is active, once paid plans launch.

They may process your information only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of our users and us.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your account and everything tied to it are removed from our live database immediately. Residual copies may remain in our provider's routine backups until they roll off. We may keep limited records where the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

Access and portability: in the app, Settings → Your data → Export my data.
Correction: edit your cards and records in the app, or email us.
Deletion: in the app, Settings → Your data → Delete account. You can also request deletion on the web.
Notifications: turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's settings.

Depending on where you live (for example California, other US states, Canada including Quebec), you may have additional rights to know what we hold, to correct or delete it, and to complain to a regulator. Email support@getunclaimed.app and we'll respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and our database applies row-level security so that each account can read only its own records. No system is perfectly secure, so please protect access to your email account.

Where your data is processed

Your data is stored in the region listed above. If you use Unclaimed from another country, your information is transferred to and processed there.

Children

Unclaimed is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we'll update the date above and tell you in the app.
